Summary :
– The Data Modeler will design and implement data models to support the
development of curated, reusable, and governed data products.
– This role will focus on creating source and target state models, ensuring data
quality, and enabling efficient data consumption.
Key Responsibilities :
– Data Modeling: Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for data
products.
– Data Analysis: Profile and document key metrics of existing data products,
including lineage, quality, and reuse potential.
– Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to define business rules, KPIs, and
consumption requirements.
– Documentation: Create data dictionaries, ER diagrams, and metadata
documentation.
– Governance: Define and implement data governance principles for certified
reusable data products.
Required Skills :
– Data Modeling Tools: Proficiency in tools like ER/Studio, Erwin, or similar.
– Database Expertise: Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational
databases (Redshift, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
– Data Governance: Experience with data quality, lineage, and compliance
frameworks.
– Soft Skills: Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Qualifications :
– Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
– 5+ years of experience in data modeling and database design.
– Familiarity with AWS data services (Redshift, Glue, S3) is a plus.
