Job Type  Contract

Compensation : $65 – 75 Hourly

Summary :

– We are seeking a FS Java/Spring Boot, Kafka, AWS/EKS in the Westlake,
TX area.

Requirements :

– Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject
area
– Cloud-native REST API development using Java, Maven, Stash, Spring
Boot and Open API standards 3+ years of experience working with event
streaming/messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
– 3+ years of experience with database technologies, preferably Oracle
SQL and PL/SQL
– Strong hands-on experience with Python, Kafka Streams, SQL Query
creation, and DevOps with Jenkins
– Ownership of the entire secure SDLC, and extensive experience with
DevOps CI/CD practices, TDD, BDD, automated security and quality
testing using tools like REST Assured/Cucumber/etc., modern test and mock
frameworks and service virtualization tools like Wiremock to rapidly deliver,
measure, and iterate features to customers
– Working experience within an Agile (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) development
environment
– Working experience in Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
– Working knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools (i.e., Jenkins,
uDeploy, Git)
– Ability to work independently with limited supervision
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Collaboration, communication and engagement skills and can articulate
and document business/system requirements
– You have hands-on Java and open-source skills with the ability to build
complex web-based systems from ground up or interfacing with existing
systems
– Event Driven application design and development
– Strong focus on quality through the entire SDLC to reduce production
interruptions; AWS deployments with EKS
– Focus on observability, metrics and alerting using tools like
Datadog/Splunk
– Background in distributed design patterns and critical thinking skills to
design end-to-end solutions
