This is a hands-on engineering position focused on
designing, building, and validating mechanical and
electromechanical components used in surgical
and orthopedic applications. You will take products
from requirements through CAD, prototyping, fixture
design, and testing while solving complex engineering

Location : Naples, FL
Salary : $100,000 – $130,000 /yr
Summary :
– A leading medical device manufacturer specializing in high-precision
orthopedic implants, surgical instruments, and cutting tools.
– The organization is known for advanced machining technologies, rapid
prototyping, and engineering excellence supporting top-tier OEMs in
musculoskeletal and trauma care.
– This is a hands-on engineering position focused on designing, building, and
validating mechanical and electromechanical components used in surgical
and orthopedic applications.
– You will take products from requirements through CAD, prototyping, fixture
design, and testing while solving complex engineering challenges in a
fast-paced, precision-driven environment.
Responsibilities :
– Design and develop manufacturable components, assemblies, and fixtures
using SolidWorks or NX.
– Support rapid prototyping and DFM for CNC-machined parts.
– Build and test mechanical fixtures and tooling for verification and validation.
– Execute testing in challenging environments including structural, thermal,
high-current, and cryogenic conditions.
– Perform failure analysis, root-cause investigations, and create clear
engineering reports.
– Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to transition
designs into production.
Qualifications :
– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
– 3+ years of R&D, mechanical design, or test engineering experience.
– Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks or NX).
– Hands-on experience with fixtures, prototype builds, and test setups.
– Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience :
– Experience in medical devices or other regulated manufacturing
environments.
– DFM for CNC machining and multi-component assemblies.
– Experience with failure analysis, instrumentation, or
thermal/mechanical testing.
