Travel : 10%

CPA firm seeking a tax manager who is very strong in all aspects of personal income
tax preparation with an emphasis on clients with voluminous portfolios of hedge and
alternative investments

Responsibilities :

– Assume full responsibility for directing engagements and special assignments and
supervise a number of engagements simultaneously.
– Implement tax strategies that align with clients’ business objectives
– Perform all tasks related to client service and see that assignments are
accomplished by the engagement team within the budgeted time.
– Responsible for the professional and technical development of the staff through
on-the-job-interaction and leading in-house training.
– Develop a list of potential referral sources to bring new business to the firm
– Develop expertise in one or more specific industry area

Qualifications :

1. CPA
2. Five years of very strong experience in personal income tax matters including
fiduciary and foundation
3. Experience with complex returns requiring 20-40 K-1 schedules.
4. Ability to supervise in-house and off-site bookkeepers
5. Ability to make adjusting general ledger journals
6. Financial planning experience is a plus – eg. cash flow, life insurance, mortgage and
investment analysis.
